bv you really think Collison has more value than Magloire? I think Magloire's blocks make him just ask valuable right now, and once he starts shooting better he should be in his old allstar form.

Maybe you can do a full post on my roster as an example of how to examine your roster. Anyways, I am new to fantasy basketball and could use a few pointers. I have worked a few trades already, and here is what I got...

D. Wade
K. Bryant
J. Williams
Q. Richardson
S. Abdur-Rahim
P. Stojakovic
T. Duncan
C. Villanueva
M. Daniels
J. Howard

I play in a 10 team yahoo league based on these 11 stats:
GP FGM FG% FT% 3PTM PTS OREB DREB AST ST BLK TO
We can start 8 every night, and I have not run into the problem of not being able to play everyone who is playing (we can change our rosters daily).

Obviously I have some strong players, but its my bench that I think needs some work. Here are the top currently avaliable players:

M. Peterson
J. Rose
S. Battier
J. Dixon
M. Miller
B. Wells
R. Felton
D. Jones
D. Williams
S. Telfair
D. Christie
E. Boykins
M. Williams
C. Duhon
S. Battier
R. Horry
Ja. Jones
S. Parker
D. Fisher
M. Williams
B. Knight
D. West

Thanks for your help...

well right now, collison has more value than haywood or magloire. so you should definitely make the move. as for who to drop, magloire is underperforming but by the end of the year he should have better numbers than haywood.

as for a good website to submit your roster to, well, we're thinking about starting a mailbag feature ... don't shy away from asking us!

I'd feel pretty comfortable dropping Swift at this point. I mean, it's his sixth year in the league and he's still prone to just dumb plays, enough so that it's quite possible he'll never be a guy who a coach can leave out there for an extended stretch. He's not even blocking shots this year. That said, the Rockets always seem to start slowly, so perhaps they will turn it around and Swift will be a part of that. But Juwan Howard just refuses to go away. He may suck, but it's a passive sort of sucking, so JVG might just keep running him out there for 25 mpg or so.

Korver's slowly starting to find his groove. He's hit at least two 3s in 5 of his last 6, and he could very well go on a binge where he gets 17 over three games or something. I like all of the players you mentioned, though. Love Daniels, and it was great to see him get 39 minutes in the first game that Christie was out. You fear that Darrell Armstrong might steal some of those, but the Mavs played only eight guys, all of them seeing 20+ minutes which is great news. He can do everything except hit 3s and get blocks.

Nick Collison seems to be entrenched in the starting lineup right now and should be solid. I watched almost the entire game against Boston and he's a guy coaches love. Most of his points came on layups/dunks/follows -- he doesn't take bad shots, crashes the boards and boxes out. He'll shoot a high percentage and grab lots of boards -- not a lot of steals or blocks, but you're not looking at him to be a savior, just a solid waiver wire find.

Brendan Haywood is a hometown fave and he's blocking tons of shots, but dude is the worst defensive rebounding big man in the league. No question. He has 32 defensive boards 8 games this season. That's not gonna cut it. It's why he won't play more than 30 minutes. The 42% from the line hurts too. He's been parked on my bench all season, and I like him there.
