As a general rule, I never like a trade if you aren't getting the best player invovled. And Carter is clearly the best player here.

Hey guys, I got a trade offer sent to me, wanted to hear some input from y'all. I give up Pryzbilla and Vince Carter, I get back Steve Francis and Rasheed Wallace. Pryzbilla's been on my bench anyway, so the only cats I'be losing in overall are pts, some FG% and FT%. I'm 1st in my league in pts and FT%, and I could use a little help in rebounding, assists, and steals. Thoughts?

I was at the Celtics/Wizards game last night, and while it was nice to see a Wizards win, I did age about 6 years in the last 27 seconds. (The Wizards were winning 101-94 with 27 seconds left and were losing 102-101 with 9 seconds left. That's hard to do.)

Anyway, the player who impressed me the most last night was easily Delonte West. The kid can just flat out play. He's a dead-eye shooter, good rebounder, explosive going to the basket. His line last night came in 25 minutes due to foul trouble. Love Delonte.

Ricky for Sammy D is a fair deal, but I'd be surprised if he wanted to move Dalembert. He has no one else to replace him with. Magloire/Diogu/Griffin? Yikes.

For a 10-team league, I think that you have quite a roster...I was wondering how many teams there were for you to have the players that you do.

The only other thing I would consider is if you set lineups weekly or daily. If it were daily, I have no problem trading Ricky for Sammy, even though I think that it might be giving up too much for him. However, if it is a weekly lineup then soon you'll have Sammy, Okafor and Amare and only two spots to start them in (PF,C) with Troy Murphy also playing well and in the mix for one of them...meanwhile you'll be a little weaker at SG and may be overloaded with big men...which is the position to have too much talent at IMO.

Anyways, I guess that that is just the one consideration of mine that came to mine. Sammy's been good in blocks and rebounds, but not really much else. But if it's a daily lineup thing, but sure, do the trade since it will also diversify your lineup in terms of what team they play on.

Oh, one more thing (I wish there was a way I could edit my last post).

Since he is so desperate, you could try to low-ball him and send him Delonte, Caron, or Knight if they are SG eligibile. Obviously you don't want to offend him, but it seems that he is (or at least should be) quite desperate, so you might get him to bite on lesser value, as Hughes will be out for a while.

Is the league H2H or Roto...how many CATs? Regardless, I do agree that this is the way to go to get your big defensive center.

I concur about that trade. Dalembert is doing good, especially since Cheeks is really playing his starters. That, with the fact that Webber might see less time to heal injuries, means more boards for Sammy.

I was sketchy on everyone in Boston other than Pierce and Davis at the beginning of the season; I figured Dickau, Banks and West would be fighting for the PG spot, but injuries solved that problem and West is the obvious starter and No3 option. (The Boston frontcourt is still in shambles). And with his team hurting for a SG, as he really doesn't have a decent on on the bench, it's very possibe he'd do that deal....in fact, I doubt anyone else on his team has SG eligibility, depending on your league, so he probably is pretty desperate.

Good luck.

I think with Hughes down for the next 6-8 weeks, he looks pretty weak at SG. So you may want to offer up someone like Ricky Davis.

I think Davis' value is at peak right now and he'd probably bite. You would pick up Dalembert and then go ahead and plug in Delonte West at your G spot.

Judging by the trend of the last several weeks, Delonte is taking on an increased role in the Celts' offense and could wind up being a real nice player by season's end. This, in turn, would probably result in a decreased value for Davis which is another reason why you may think about dealing him now.

Hey I need your guys' advice:
My centers are Okafor and Amare, so I've been looking to pick up a solid backup who can play a lot of time in the next few months and still be useful even after Amare comes back. The guy I REALLY want is Dalembert.
My team:
PG Stephon Marbury
SG Ray Allen
G Ricky Davis
SF Lamar Odom
PF Troy Murphy
F Richard Jefferson
C Emeka Okafor
B David West
B Caron Butler
B Brevin Knight
B Delonte West
B Amare Stoudemire

His team:
PG Steve Nash
SG Larry Hughes
G Gilbert Arenas
SF Carmelo Anthony
PF Tim Duncan
F Zach Randolph
C Sam Dalembert
B Kirk Hinrich
B Jamal Magloire
B Ike Diogu
B Eddie Griffin
B Earl Watson

What would be a fair trade for me to grab Dalembert and not hurt my team by giving up too much?
