Brian Cook and Kirk Snyder have both looked very impressive over their past five games:
Cook: 18 pts, 1.6 3pt, 5 rbs, 0.4 stls, 0.6 blks, 0.6 TO, 60%FG,100%FT, 29 minutes

Snyder: 18 pts, 1 3pt, 5 asts, 0.8 stl, 0.4 blk, 54%FG, 29 minutes.

The caveats are that C. Mimh missed all of those games for the Lakers, and C.Paul missed 3 of those games for the Hornets.

Any chance that either can put up a solid 2nd half of the season.

The Lakers are dying for a 3rd scorer. Could it be that Cook has begun to break out as that guy?

And Byron Scott seems to love Snyder's agressiveness, and he has basically replaced all of J.R Smith's playing time at shooting guard.

Who's more worthy of picking up? I like that Cook is a great 3pt shooter, but doesn't hurt your FG% (or anything else for that matter)

andy,

i don't know that SAR is worth holding onto, but before dropping him i'd definitely offer him around in some trades. remember, it only takes one guy who believes that he'll have value to make him have value in your league.

Someone else asked this yesterday but I don't think anyone responded. Is Shareef Abdur-Rahim worth holding on to? I have to believe he'll keep getting better as he regains his strength, but Kenny Thomas has played like a man possessed. There's almost no way SAR will regain the value he had early in the season, but is he droppable?

good point on diaw, but i tried to pick a guy who really came out of nowhere, who didn't switch teams or anything over the offseason (particularly to a team with steve nash).

as for the johnson deal ... it's borderline. i'd say pull the trigger, but i can't really say that with too much confidence. It depends on if Iggy can really turn it on down the stretch.

I just have a question regarding about the trade that occured yesterday. Chris Wilcox and Radmanovich got traded yesterday, and i was wondering what you guys think about this and who's fantasy value improves.

I personally think Chris Wilcox's value skyrockets with seatle's limited frontcourt post scorers. Also, Wilcox has had some great outings when given the time.
