Andy, I share your skepticism when it comes to Gomes' ability to sustain this kind of production. But the fact remains that you can not ignore the numbers he's been posting and you might as well take advantage while he's hot.

That said, once Childress returns from a sprained ankle I think he is a much better and safer option. He's a proven commodity in almost all fantasy categories, especially FG% and steals, plus he has added three-point range to his repertoire.
Gomes may be a better start for next week, but I'd definitely pick up Childress for the long run.

I like Gomes, but he'll be platooning with Jefferson, Perkins, and Olowokandi soon. Perk should be back next week. Unless Jefferson remains out for a few weeks, I see a pretty significant dropoff coming.

Childress has good value, but he is hurt.

Addendum: Josh Childress is also available in my league and would obviously boost my FG% as well. Does Gomes have more value than Childress?

Is Gomes really going to keep this up? I am dominant in assists and I need help in FG%. I was considering dropping Rafer Alston (who can't shoot a lick lately) to pick up Gomes, but it's hard to believe he can keep shooting the way he is.
