I have been wondering the same question. The funny thing is, that if Darko was out on the wire, he'd be snatched up immediately.

The one concern I have about Biedrins is that he is playing in GS, and honestly who knows what the hell they are going to do this year. At first they were going to start Troy Murphy at C...and today he only plays 20 minutes. Ike Diogu, despite an ankle sprain today, is also a VERY effective player that will be nipping at playing time at the C as well. Furtherore, it seems like there is a propensity both on this team and in the league in general to run more with small lineups, such that players like Monta Ellis get 39 minutes of burn.

Anyways, that is definately a situation to watch, but Biedrins certainly won't continue to average 81%FG nor will he get 6 blks like he did tonight.

I'm in a similar situation myself. I have low-tier centers Wilcox, Krstic, and Zaza and I'm having trouble being happy with them. Zaza is playing well but I'm sure that it is more of an illusion...he played really well at the beginning of last season too...and I'm not sold on Wilcox but 12/8 isn't too bad and it's hard to take a flyer on someone like Andrew Bynum knowing Mihm and Kwame are on their way back...but even then who knows what might happen...he's playing oh so well right now.

what i will say is that I'm a Baron Davis injury away from taking Monta Ellis becasue he'll be oh so valuable then.

Biedrins vs Darko?
Any thoughts. I'm considering dropping Darko for Biedrins. I want to be patient with Darko, but Biedrins is definitely outperforming him thus far - specifically in blocks, %'s and minutes:

Biedrins: 24 min, 7.6 pts,6.4 reb, 0.8 stls, 2.6 blks, 1.2 TO, 81%FG, 57%FT

Darko: 19 min, 7.8 pts, 5.8 reb, 0.5 stls, 1.3 blks, 1.3TO, 40%FG, 46%FT

hey guys, quick question. Smush Parker hasn't been doing much for me, and he's my worst player. I'm contemplating dropping him for Kenny Thomas, Mark Blount, or Monta Ellis, should I do it? This is a 12 cat. H2H league, we count FTM and FGM. I can use some help on the boards and I have plenty of steals. Assists can use a little help too but Smush haven't been doing much distributing lately anyways...

How about Larry Hughes and Zaza Pachulia for David West and Luol Deng? How do you guys feel about that one.

I'm biting my lip and hoping that Hughes explodes tonight. The owner, I know, is a sentimental fan of Hughes, and I think I might be able to get a bit more value for him than I should (ala Jamison). If I could swing that trade then I wouldn't be losing anything really (including 3's, which I still believe that I am week in). I wouldn't really like having a Chicago Bull, but I think Deng may be underrated a bit.

Well I offered him Larry Hughes and Kaman for West and Jamison...and he considered it until Jamison blew up in yet another game. He likes Hughes quite a bit and needs a center. Maybe I can find some paring for that.

Me:

Partial's Playmakers
1. (1) LeBron James
2. (20) Paul Pierce
3. (21) Joe Johnson
4. (40) Marcus Camby
5. (41) Mike Bibby
6. (60) Chris Kaman
7. (61) Jameer Nelson
8. (80) Larry Hughes
9. (81) Darko Milicic
10. (100) Zaza Pachulia
11. (101) Andre Miller
12. (120) Kevin Martin
13. (121) Nenad Krstic
14. (140) Deron Williams
15. (141) Chris Wilcox

Him:

1. (5) Kobe Bryant
2. (16) Chris Bosh
3. (25) Jason Kidd
4. (36) Lamar Odom
5. (45) Antawn Jamison
6. (56) Mike James
7. (65) David West
8. (76) Josh Howard
9. (85) Adam Morrison
10. (96) Leandro Barbosa
11. (105) Luol Deng
12. (116) Jarret Jack (dropped Damon Stoudamire).
13. (125) Stephen Jackson
14. (136) Udonis Haslem
15. (145) Tony Battie

He obviously needs a Center, which I have quite a few players that work. I'm a bit partial to Krstic, because he's the only decent big on his entire team and should continue to get burn and continue all year. Zaza...when Marvin gets back him minutes could take a slight hit, and I'm not super high on Wilcox either.

What kind of trade would work to get David West or Jamison. I think that Villanueva and Randolph are a bit too hot right now.

Also of note, this is a fraternity league and I live with all of the other people in the league. I doubt I'll get "blacklisted", but I obviously don't want to make any rediculous trade offers either.

Thanks.

yeah nelson is biting me in the ass too! just hold steady, nelson doesnt strike me as a flop. but villenueva wouldve been exactly what we both needed lol.

and yeah, dont bother with zaza, even if it is a "lets get the trade talks going" kind of deal. id put you on the black list for that offer :).

I too am looking for help up front and am looking towards Jamison or West, both owned by the same guy. Unfortunately, all of the decent mid-tier PFs are playing out of their mind right now (Randolph, Jamison, West, Villanueva) and thus they will command too much in trade value for the time being. I think I might have to hold pat and wait till an injury or a slow down so that I can get appropriate value for one of them.

But....as each day goes on, more and more of my sleepers go off the board. Jarret Jack just got pulled off of FA, and it is quite annoying because I was hoping he'd be out there for a while longer.

Is Zaza Pachulia for David West too offensive? Right now Zaza is playing really well, and while I know it will stop at some point, he is Center eligible. I've posted my team in other comment threads, and I really need a solid big man, because Kaman and Camby can't do it all by themselves with a ton of guards.

How mad am I for passing on Charlie Villanueva for Jameer Nelson right now!!!

arpit, yeah man, dont drop jack!!!! drop foye if anyone, i know yr team is deep, but dont drop jack!

OB- i like yr trade, got rid of chandler who will be descent this season and rose who is a non factor and should be in the FA anyways. so chandler for kaman straight up, id take teh kaman side of that deal.

my team and Q's

Kevin Garnett SF,PF
Joe Johnson PG,SG
Dwight Howard PF
Kirk Hinrich PG,SG
Raymond Felton PG
Jameer Nelson PG
Nenad Krstic PF,C
Ricky Davis SG,SF
Kevin Martin SG
Mo Williams PG
Danny Granger SF PF
Nene Hilario PF,C
Earl Watson PG

ok, so i need help up front. all i have is howard and garnett. whats everyones opinion on trading hinrich for ben wallace?

hinrich has name recognition and should interest the other manager. i personally think im giving up too much to get ben wallace, but he would help my team more than hinrich would. plus, i have several decent PG or high assists swingmen like johnson and garnett.

h2h-9 cat

ben wallace would lock me down in reb, right? please suggest any other big men that would help...david west? jamison?

Terrance: I personally would not drop Granger for May. Granger has had a rough start but it's only 3 games. He's still the starter (for now) and can contribute in so many categories that even if he is benched he still has value. May is a good pickup given the Brezec situation but unless you really need boards I'd hold on to Granger for now.

arpit: Don't drop Jack!!! It appears Brandon Roy might have a heel problem which could linger. I'd probably keep Wells over Foye because Bonzi is more of a proven guy and I'm not sure Foye is ever going to get a lot of shots with KG, Ricky Davis, and Mike James around, not that Trenton Hassell has been lighting the world on fire in front of him.

As far as Thomas, he can board when he gets the minutes and he'll chip in some blocks, but he doesn't do much else, except clang free throws off the iron. It does sound like Brendan Haywood is digruntled and may be on his way out so Thomas should be getting plenty of minutes in the short term. If you need boards or someone to fill a C spot, dropping Foye for Thomas isn't a bad idea.
