bublitchki, I think the consensus opinion is that if you need blocks and/or boards, Jefferson is a must-pickup, particularly if you can absorb his FT%. If he keeps playing anything like he has over the last week, he'll be the starter all year

That said, the other two players you're choosing from are also viable options depending on the needs of your team. Walton continues to surprise me - he is a balanced contributor, is getting tons of minutes, and as you pointed out he will likely see a boost in his numbers while Odom is out. May looks good right now, but I always worry about the Bobcat rotation being in flux so he'd probably be my last choice of the three guys you mentioned.

Who should I pick up to replace the injured Odom in my lineup (I'd be dropping Barbosa, whose minutes seem to ba dropping as quickly as Bush's approval rating)

The choices I'm considering that are currently available on our league's wire:

Sean May (super-hot now; will he keep it up)

Al Jefferson (will he reatin value when Perk returns)

Luke Walton (could augment his season averages with some of Lamar's numbers)

Thoughts, anyone?

It'd be really tough to drop either of those guys, Alex. Ellis is one of the few consistent options on the Warriors, double figures in all but one game, lots of minutes. Jack is a starter playing lots of minutes too. I'd probably hold on to Jack if I was forced to choose.

hey guys need to pick up kaman to bolster front court. who to drop - ellis or jack? im thinkin ellis has more upside (and is eligible at sg) but jack will have higher assist numbers? roy's coming back soon as well, but then ellis has to compete for playing time too.

already got miller, wade, d. williams and iverson manning the pg position.

Dump Lee for Al Jefferson, for sure. Don't know what more Jefferson needs to do to escape the free agent list. Even when he doesn't score he boards and blocks.

David Lee only played 21 minutes last night behind Jared Jeffries, taking 2 shots. He still had a decent fantasy night, but will he have any value going forward?

Before Frye got hurt, he was only averaging about 25 minutes a game, so when all three guys are healthy, how many minutes can Lee possibly get? Even his great per-minute averages aren't worth much if he's only playing 20 a game. Should I sell on him ASAP? I was thinking about buying low on G. Wallace or picking up Al Jefferson.

yeah Vince carter is pissing me off, he didn't do anything up until this week when i'm playing him, he's single handedly helping the other team beat me in all scoring categories, and so far nearly doubled the scoring output of Lebron (who needs to step up his game)

One non-fantasy related comment about Anderson Varejao. That guy has to be the most annoying player in the league. I admire his hustle, but I HATE that he gets away with so many dirtys plays, and flops. I can't count how many charges he draws but doesn't deserve. His feet are often moving, but he gets the call because of his outlandishly dramatic flopping. It's like he's a combination of Bruce Bowen, Andres Nocioni, Vlade Divac and Manu Ginobili. He pisses me off to now end...sorry...had to get that out of my system...I too was rooting for the Wizards in last year's playoff with the Cavs. Aside from Lebron's treatment from the refs (phantom fouls, non-traveling calls) that Gilbert wasn't getting, Varaejo's antics was the most frustrating thing about that series.
