We start 3 guards in my league, and my top 3 are Billups, J. Johnson, and TJ Ford. My bench consists of B. Knight and J. Jack. With Chauncey out right now and Jack putting up low numbers, could you justify dropping Jack for the immediate (and possible long range) bench help of Tony Allen? Drop Jack for Allen or no? Possibly drop Knight for Allen? Stick it out with FBB favorite Jack?

I wouldn't say I'm an unabahsed Tinsley hater; if I am it's only because I used to be a big fan. Give him credit for starting every game this year, but he's a double percentage killer, which is just not good. I grabbed Barnes a week ago and am very happy to have him now that J-Rich is down. Still not sure he'll be a consistent option over the next month, especially if/when Ellis comes back along with Murphy, but he's firing up 3s like he's Quentin Richarson 2K4, so it's all good.

Tony Allen is playing out of his mind. It won't continue at this level when Pierce gets back, but how can they possibly bench him? I just can't see it happening, although it seems quite possible.

jeremy, we are unabashed tinsley haters here at fbb, he's always hurt and over-rated to boot. I think barnes, followed by walton, is probably your best long-term bet with allen having better short-term value.

So, for some reason in my league, someone just dropped Jamaal Tinsley & Luke Walton. Add them to Matt Barnes (who I dropped before J-Rich went down) and Tony Allen.

Who has the most value going forward? Tony Allen is putting up pretty good numbers as mentioned above, but I don't know if he will continue when Pierce and Wally come back fully healthy and take minutes.

Overall, I think Luke Walton is pretty mediocere and Tinsley is really hit or miss every game. Assuming I can pick up any of these guys, who would you recommend? Matt Barnes has strung a bunch of good games together...but now that I look at it, so has Allen even with Pierce and Wally in the lineup? Thoughts? Thanks.

Yeah DM, I remember how hard it was to get the Tetris monkey off my back. Good luck with that.

Interesting take on Marion. As a matter of fact. last night I was comparing Marion's recent ouput with Tony Allen's numbers as a starter. And I was surprised to see that over the past three weeks, Marion has basically been Allen without the turnovers. Check out their respective per game averages over that period:

Marion: 17.1/7.3/1.4; 1.0 3s, 1.4 stls, 1.1 blks
            50.9 FG%, 87.5 FT%, 0.8 TOs

T.Allen: 18.0/6.4/2.5; 0.4 3s, 1.9 stls, 1.1 blks
            51.0 FG%, 85.4 FT%, 3.5 TOs

Now I'm not sure whether this is evidence as to how much Marion has regressed or how much Allen has improved. Probably a bit of both, I guess. I suppose if there's someone out there who has long coveted Marion but doesn't want to pay the going rate, it might be worthwhile to target Allen (if you can stomach his TOs) while he's still a no-name.
