I agree with Andy. Childress is DEFINITELY not waiver wire fodder in a 12 team league. I've got him on my 2nd place team in a 12-team roto league and my first place team in an 8-team H2H league. He's one of my more valuable contributors.

In my Roto league, he's my 5th most valuable guy (out of 13 on the roster).

In my H2H league, he's my 8th most valuable guy (out of 13).

It's true that he helps out a team that's already pretty solid more than a team needs a huge boost in one particular category...but the fact that he doesn't hurt you anywhere is huge...and you're not going to find a player like that on the waiver wire in a 12-team league. (assuming the other owners are paying attention)

Childress is definitely not WW fodder in a 12-team league, IMO. Yes, he's a bit inconsistent, but he is still doing quite well in the most important fantasy stat - minutes - as he's still seeing more run than many starters. He is generally a consistent source of threes, boards, and steals with a few assists and blocks thrown in.

He has slumped lately which has taken away from his percentage numbers, but he's still at over 50% on the season. He might not shoot a lot, but think about who you'd replace him with on the WW - almost any other available swingman who shoots threes will kill your FG% compared to J-Chill, and likely won't replace his other stats either.

Since he doesn't score much or dominate any one cat, he's definitely the type of guy that makes a good team better vs. "saving" a bad team. Still, even if you need to take some risks I would hold onto him, especially in a 12-team league.

Yo dudes, is Childress WW fodder on a 12-team H2H league? I like his "Marion Lite" type lines, but he seems much too little, too late for my style. His %s are nice, but doesn't really take enough attempts to make an appreciable impact, as are his other contributions. He's easily capable of dropping 0 3PTMs, 0 BLKs and probably a 12 pt, 5 reb on 5-11 or 5-9 FG night. He may be ranked like #38th on BBM (TO league), but the contributions just seem too thin. Just a FYI, but LeBron is ranked #34 and I'm sure most ppl would take The King over J-Chill, as an extreme example of differences in overall statistical value.

I would drop Donyell for CV. Donyell helps in 3s and blocks, but he is a percentage killer. I would definitely rather have the overall upside of CV on my team.

What's the feeling on Villaneuva? I need 3s, blocks, and percentages; JR Smith, Dnyell Marshall, Shaun Livingston, and Mark Blount are some of the available guys I'm contemplating dropping him for.
