<p>Rook... I believe your logic is on target. Johnson is more likely to play out the season than someone like Ray Allen. The mere fact that Allen was just considering season-ending surgery is enough for me to try to get rid of him. He's the high-priced superstar who has no reason to risk further injury when his team is out of playoff contention. I'd definitely rather have Johnson at this point.

OK I'll cut to the chase -- would it be smart to offer Ray Allen for Joe Johnson, given the concerns about Allen's ankle... even if Allen plays well tonight?

Is a younger player like Joe Johnson less likely to take the last few games off? I know no one really knows, but you guys seem to have a theory about what might happen.

But it's still true that Allen's a threat to shut it down earlier than most. Playing this weekend could be a reprieve of sorts for his value. If he plays this weekend I'll see what kind of offers I can get for him.

My, oh my. How quickly the worm turns. Again.

In just a little over a day after bv critiqued one of his league mates for acquiring Allen/Bibby/Wilcox for Paul/Odom/Walton, we learn that Allen is likely to start on Sunday while an MRI this morning on Odom revealed a torn labrum that could sideline him for the season.

Funny ol' game, this

If Ray Allen plays this weekend, which I hear he will, I take it you'd say that's a good time to move him?

DAMN and I finally built a near fantasy Dream Team with Ray Allen. I sent out from trade offers (Allen for Redd or Kevin Martin or Joe Johnson) now that Ray is seriously considering "season ending surgery" 3 dreaded words to Wade owners and fantasy owners alike.

My was-perfect team:

PG Steve Nash | SG Ray Allen | G Chauncey Billups | SF Gerald Wallace | PF Carlos Boozer | F Al Jefferson | C J.O'Neal | C Biedrins | Util Brandon Roy | Darko Milicic | BN J-Rich | Head | J-Will

I picked up Aldridge too... and dropped Trenton Hassel. Looks like a lot of us will be happy if Aldridge performs well.

This blog is becoming extremely important for me... as I seem to have all the players being discussed. Interesting analysis on Blake and Stevenson. I actually dropped Blake last week for Stevenson, but I'll definitely keep an eye on those two and see what happens. I agree that Stevenson's value will likely drop (Butler & Jamison coming back tonight)... so I'm keeping an eye on a few point guards (Blake, Jason Hart, Watson, Damon Stoudamire, Claxton, Anthony Johnson)
