There will be some value for the Clippers PGs once one of them gets hurt. I'd speculate that once things get ugly for the Clips -- and that should be pretty early on -- Cassell will mail it in and Knight should get a chance to run with the starting PG job where we know he can rack up assists and steals. Cassell might be the starter now, but I tend to think Knight will have the better year.

As for JCN, it's a pretty crowded backcourt in Memphis. He has a chance to be a really poor man's Barbosa if everything goes perfectly, but there are lots of unknowns there.

Just a quick question, is there any value in the pgs for the clippers? Also what about Juan Carlos Navarro for memphis?

Thanks.

Great Blog, been a reader for a couple seasons

I honestly would avoid both of the Celtics swingmen if possible. KG is gonna be a stud and get no worse than 19/12/5...minimum.

The swingmen have health issues, capable backups in Posey and T.Allen, and I would rather go with someone else at a similar position unless they fall so far that you "have" to take them.

These guys aren't option #1 on their team anymore...their options 1a, 1b, 1c. and that will have an impact.

Sorry DM, but I'd go with The Truth, no question. Allen only has the edge in threes and FT%, and it's not by much.

First of all, I suspect Pierce will maintain his 2.3 treys per game as he and Allen will likely have a friendly 3-pt competition every night. Second, Allen's 90%FT looks much better than Pierce's 80%FT, but it can be misleading... Allen averages around 5 trips to line, while Pierce is close to 9 per game. Sure his FT percentage is lower, but it's still quite good (league average is around 75%). So, with more opportunities at the line Pierce should be able to raise your team's average quite a bit.

BV's Allan Houston comparison is scary but accurate. Pierce should still be the focal point of the C's offense, while Ray Allen takes on more of the Reggie Miller role.
