play-i knew after i posted i shouldve included the league setting. its a 14 team league, 9 starters. Everything is standard yahoo except one C instead of two.

I ran this team through basketball monster and its a steady group of guys avg over the league avg in every cat except blocks (which i punted)

team #'s

FG% 47.1
FT% 79.3
PTS 15.7
3's 1.1
REB 6.1
AST 3.8
BLK .4

REB and STLS are my strongest catagory finishing a bit above the league avg last season.

I am worried about Iggys TO's, caron butler was a serious option at the 17 pick, but iggys assists #'s decided it for me. I like him quite a bit. I get yr point though. The second round is dead this season. YOu have upside or veterens. Like they said here, 12-24 could go any way and no one would gripe about it.

Forgot to mention, JT, Boozer, Rashard, Shane = low turnover guys. Felton and Iggy = high turnover guys. You could've dominated this category with a couple different picks.

Terrance,

Oh boy I am not trying to be a downer here but you have a few holes to fix. Your team, on a average week, will not win blocks, points, and rebounds, and assists. What the team MIGHT win is threes, and turnovers (if you play that category).

Why draft Iggy and not another three point shooter (with decent steals) to complement Rashard's strong suit? In a tradition h2h league, if you want to compete with the best three point teams, you need minimum 5 bombers (that's >100 threes).

Your point guards are JT and Felton. You drafted JT, a low assist point guard, then Felton? Iggy assits as well but You'll run into a couple of teams with legitimate guards that will put the assist category away before you know it.

One center in boozer? You're really gambling. A back up is strongly suggested.

Picking up a couple three point shooters to seal off the three point category and a back up center who has high steals to complement your current squad is what I see fitting. GL Terrance.

I know yr maryland guys, shouldnt have asked about JJ Redick :)

I drafted elton brand with the 157 pick overall (my last pick)

this is a h2h league, ive read that february isnt a sure date that he will be back. He may miss the entire season. Some of my sleepers are still in the FA pool. Drop Brand for one of them? Of my sleeper list who is the best bet to be consistent?

1. (12) Rashard Lewis SF
2. (17) Andre Iguodala SG,SF
3. (40) Carlos Boozer PF,C
4. (45) Jason Terry PG,SG
5. (68) Raymond Felton PG,SG
6. (73) Shane Battier SF
7. (96) David Lee SF,PF
8. (101) Luis Scola SF,PF
9. (124) Marvin Williams SG,SF
10. (129) Jaun Carlos Navaroo PG,SG
11. (152) J.J. Redick PG,SG
12. (157) Elton Brand PF,C

alston
acie law
r evans
szxzerbiak
g green
m webster
a blatche
mccants

my guess would be acie law, but is he good enough to drop reddick or brand? reddick has had a decent preseason and is stroking from distance. Word is he beat out ariza for the SG spot.

I too think JCN might be a better option than Belinelli because he's more of a sure bet to get consistent minutes, although I'm only going by articles and word of mouth so far. Is he that much better than Lowry, Conley Jr., and Kinsley to get more minutes than them?

alex, if ty thomas is a starter, then yeah i'd give him more of a shot, but he won't be valuable playing only 20 mpg, he's gonna have to get at least 25 or 30 to be a fantasy starter. Still, i like him more than maxiell, and about even with bynum. I think maxiell is a better blocker than thornton.

bobbo, fair enough, but i'm talking more about stats than actual games. JCN just seems like a guy who will get flirt with value because of his threes but won't contribute much else - much like Nachbar. But yeah, agreed, totally different players.

How does Juan Carlos Navarro, a 6'3" combo guard, sound like Bostjan Nachbar, a 6'9 1/2" combo forward? They are both Europeans? They are both white? They both shoot?

hey sorry just carryin on from comments from last post - if tyrus gets starting position does that give him any more value? or because he plays for skiles it doesn't impact anything at all?

i've got maxiell, tyrus and bynum all on a bench atm and i dont know who to drop if need be. and comparitively, who do you think will have the best value of maxiell and thornton? am i right in sayin that thorntons a better shot blocker?

and i read that navarro has a silky smooth handle so he'll slot into pg from time to time - dont know his game but he seems to offer better value than belinelli if he can get his assists up
