There is a rumor floating around that Jermaine O’Neal of the Toronto raptors could be used as possible trade bait for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. I’d be surprised if the Heat went for this. O’Neal is a very good player when he is on the court but how often is that? The guy can’t stay healthy. The Raptors would love to get Marion because it would give them a shot in the arm that they desperately need and give them huge cap relief at the end of the season. But, why would the Heat go for this? They could get a much better package of players and draft picks from a contending team or a team that is seriously looking to dump salary to get ready for the Lebron free agency sweepstakes. This trade just doesn’t make much sense to me.
